ZONA (2000-2008)

Zona broaches the current topical questions of a search for identity explicitly linked to a specific geographical area, a space we can call our homeland, or a space dedicated to nationality. What is most interesting at this time of an excessively praised globalisation, a capitalism – oriented world market, a world of no frontiers, and the free flow of trade and people, is this space, hermetically closed, and the people within it, plainly suspicious of everything new including people. From this stems the contemporary syndrome of searching for one's identity, roots, homeland, nationality. All the photos were taken while regularly crossing the borders of the territory of Central and Eastern Europe.
